After failing to start in the first few matches since his arrival at the club, Oscar has become an instrumental part of the Chelsea team in recent weeks. He has played in the middle of the three supporting midfielders to Fernando Torres. The presence of Eden Hazard and Juan Mata either side of him has also brought the best according to the 21 year old. However, he has promised even better things to come in the forthcoming weeks. Oscar recently scored a stunning 45 yard goal in the match against Shakhtar Donetsk to become the second top scorer in the competition so far this season.
“It’s a pleasure to play for a team which attacks like this. I’m Brazilian, so of course I like playing this style of football a lot. It makes me happy to be playing in a team that plays this way, and to be at a club that wants to play the type of football that I enjoy playing. That’s very important to me. This is my first experience in English football so naturally there is a process of adaptation as I get used to the different environment," said Oscar.
